Bridgeway Mills -- Playa Vista, California
Architect: Paul Essick Architects
Developer: West Millenium Homes, Inc.

Project Concept: Inspired by the concept of the use of light industrial
systems as an Architectural language this New Modernist approach has the flexibility
of 3- stories of loft style space with high ceilings and floor levels open to
other levels yet it can be adapted to changing needs with conventional room
arrangements. The units have private roof top decks with fireplaces, flexibility
for work studios, business office at home and large private 3- car garages fitting
the coastal community lifestyle.
The building exterior and streetscape are softened with a residential scale
in mind by the use of varying materials, color and large windows .This is also
achieved by incorporating coastal garden landscaping to provide a contrasting
setting for the architecture with curvilinear walks backed by layers of colorful
drought tolerant groundcover and shrubs punctuated, by carefully placed specimen
trees.
